The Dead'er Alive is a community-created Cosmetic item for the Engineer. It replaces the default Engineer head and hardhat with a robotic augmentation. The augmentation consists of a team-colored lights of either side of the head, a vent with the class emblem and various hazard symbols, and a robotic joint in the place of ears, all held together by metallic plating and a wire that runs the length of his head.
The Dead'er Alive was contributed to the Steam Workshop under the same name.

- This item is a reference to RoboCop in which the main character is severely wounded and much of his body is replaced with robotic prosthetics.
