The El Patron is a community-created cosmetic item for the Engineer. It's a large, brown handlebar mustache and mutton chops which are paired with a lit cigar, complete with a "Genteel Smoke" particle effect, though, thinner than other items with the same effect.
The El Patron was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Update history
October 28, 2015 Patch (Scream Fortress 2015)
- The El Patron was added to the game.
Notes
- Using the Radigan Conagher Brown paint on this item provides absolutely no visual difference in-game. This happens because the exact same color values are used for both the paint and the item's default "unpainted" color.
Bugs
- The Item schema is configured to disable the Engineer's "backpack" bodygroup, however, Engineer has no backpack on his model or a bodygroup associated with it; neither does the El Patron itself.
Trivia
- "El Patron" is quasi-Spanish for "The Boss", this translation mostly refers to the owners of establishments or businesses (as opposed to El Jefe, which can have more of a political tone).
- "Patron" is missing its accent mark; the correct form would be "El Patrón".
