The Camera Beard is an unlockable Miscellaneous item for the Spy. It appears as a bushy, black, fake beard, covering the wearer's mouth, with a film camera cleverly hidden within.
The item description was written by Codo for the Hat Describing Contest and was slightly edited by Valve.

- Moved to the Misc loadout slot so the Camera Beard can be equipped with a hat.
- Changed so the Camera Beard can be smelted into scrap metal.

Trivia
- This item is a tongue-in-cheek reference to real-world spy micro-cameras, which are disguised as innocuous articles of clothing such as shirt buttons or wristwatches.
- Initially, the Camera Beard was rejected by the Spy for being too ridiculous in the Sniper vs. Spy Update Day 4, and he chose the Cloak and Dagger and Dead Ringer instead.
- The Mann Co. Store prices the Camera Beard at about 60% of the price listed in the Dapper Rogue Catalogue.
- Before Camera Beards were included in the "Rebuild Headgear" crafting recipe, players could craft three of them into a scrap metal.
- Prior to Camera Beards changing from a headwear item to a Miscellaneous item, they were still dropping at a high rate.
