The Emerald Jarate is a miscellaneous item for the Medic. It is an attachment for the Medic's Medi Gun and Quick-Fix backpack, that adds a pair of flasks full of glowing, neon green liquid and two crooked antennae jutting out from the electrodes on top. The Medic's emblem is replaced with four team-colored screws arranged in a cross.

Update history
October 27, 2011 Patch (Very Scary Halloween Special)
- The Emerald Jarate was added to the game.
Bugs
- When equipped with Quick-Fix the whole backpack will disappear while the Emerald Jarate would be still present.
Trivia
- The item is a possible reference to the film Re-Animator, which also features, among other things, a doctor with glasses, a buttoned shirt, and tie who works in Germany, body parts stuffed in a minifridge, and reanimated, decapitated heads. The Re-Agent that Dr. Herbert West uses in the movie to bring people back to life is glowing green.
