The Pyrovision Goggles are a miscellaneous item for all classes. They are a pair of goggles with "Optical Mask" printed on them, similar to the Pyro's mask. When equipped, players see a view of Pyroland. By playing before July 5, 2012, the goggles can be obtained in Vintage quality. Players who didn't get this item until July 5, 2012, may still get a non-vintage version of the item by dominating someone who has the item equipped, similar to the Ghastly Gibus. When equipped, map textures are replaced with those of Pyroland. In addition, Player's voices become high-pitched and they laugh when injured or killed.

Bugs

  • After being killed while wearing the goggles, the effect will still apply in Spectator mode.
  • If equipped on Demoman, and then you switch to any other class, the left eye will not be glowing.
  • If equipped on Pyro, sometimes, the goggles appears on top of the front respirator of his gas mask, instead of normally changing its lenses.
  • If worn by the Soldier, the glasses can sometimes be inside his head, with the lenses appearing just out of the eyes of the Soldier

Trivia
