The Dragonborn Helmet is a promotional cosmetic item for the Heavy. It is based on the iron helmet from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim; an iron helmet adorned with a curved-down horn on each side.
This item was awarded in Genuine quality to players who pre-ordered The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Steam before 10AM PDT on August 8, 2011.
Later, it was awarded in Unique quality to players who purchased the Quakecon Bundle before 10AM PDT on August 6, 2012.

- The original name for this item is a reference to the fictional continent of Tamriel, the main setting for all the Elder Scrolls games.
- The Dragonborn Helmet's materials are found in the
all_classfolder in the VPK files, suggesting it was originally designed to be worn by all classes. - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was one of several games not available for pre-order in the United Kingdom and Russia, originally preventing consumers in these regions from directly earning the item in Genuine quality.
