The Pip-Boy is a promotional cosmetic item for the Engineer. It is based on the Pip-Boy 3000 from the video games Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas; a wrist-mounted computer device with a green-glowing monochrome screen, several buttons, and a knob. On the screen is a unique version of the Engineer that is posed and styled similarly to Vault Boy, with his hand on his hip and a large thumbs-up.

When equipped, the Pip-Boy features a revised HUD for the PDAs and Eureka Effect that matches the looks of the device.

This item was awarded in Genuine quality to players who purchased Fallout: New Vegas on Steam before August 8, 2011.

Later, it was awarded in Unique quality to players who purchased the Quakecon Bundle before 10AM PDT on August 6, 2012.
