Trivia
- The description of this hat is a reference to one of the Heavy's commonly used phrases, "I will kill you with bare hands!"
- Ushankas have ear flaps that can fold down to keep the wearer's ears warm, or tied up to keep them out of the way. In this case, the ear flaps are folded up.
- In terms of military and police work, the color of an ushanka usually indicates a person's position. Gray is associated with military personnel, green for camouflage use and blue for a police officer. Because the Heavy's ushanka is black, it is debatably not a "true" Officer's Ushanka.
- Ushankas are usually made of sheepskin, rabbit, or muskrat fur. Ushankas have also been made out of artificial fur.
