Many European regiments still wore Shakos as part of their uniforms during the early stages of World War I, until more protective headwear was needed. It is still worn as part of certain parade uniforms and marching bands. Also, toy soldiers are stereotypically made to be wearing Shakos, due to their common usage during this time period.

The Soldier

The Stout Shako is a community-created cosmetic item for the Soldier. It is a tall, team-colored shako with a shiny black visor and three gold badges connected by black straps.

Due to how the textures are set up, painting the Stout Shako with single color Paint Cans results in different colorization on the paint regions between teams.
