Dr's Dapper Topper is an unlockable headwear item for the Soldier. It is a tall, wide-brimmed top hat with alternating white and red stripes, much like the one the eponymous Cat in the Hat wears in Dr. Seuss' famous children's book.

Trivia
- This hat was originally made as an Uncle Sam Hat named the "Uncle Sammy" on the polycount forums. [1]
- The hat is an obvious reference to the children's fictional book character Template:W, created by American children's book author and cartoonist Template:W.
- Being based on the Cat in the Hat, a fairly wacky character, the Dr's Dapper Topper is likely a reference to the Soldier's wacky/insane personality.
- The "Dr" in the item name also refers to "Dr. Seuss", which is one of the pen names of Theodor Seuss Geisel. The entire name "Dr's Dapper Topper" is likely an homage to Geisel's famous writing style, which described a person or thing in an anaphoric—or sing-song—way.
- The name is similar to the name chosen by Propaganda Contest winner J.Axer for his unique Towering Pillar of Hats, which has the name 'J.Axer's Dapper Topper'.
- This is one of the few Soldier hats that allow players to see his eyes, normally obstructed by his oversize helmets.
- This hat is jiggleboned so the entire hat moves as the Soldier moves.
- Unlike the rest of the Soldier's hats, this is the only hat not associated with a military background or warfare of some type. However, the real-life Dr. Seuss served in World War II; more specifically, he worked in the U.S. Army's animation department, creating propaganda.
