September 30, 2010 Patch (Mann-Conomy Update)
- The Grenadier's Softcap was added to the game.
- [Undocumented] The Grenadier's Softcap was given its own crafting blueprint.
Trivia
- A grenadier is a soldier who specializes in handling grenades and other explosives. Grenadiers were also a common rank in the German army in the Second World War and the Patrol Cap was common military headgear for Germany at that time.
- Also known as a field cap or patrol cap, it is usually worn by military personnel with work uniforms when a combat helmet is not required.
- An early concept of the hat, pictured in the gallery below, reveals that it was originally camouflaged and had an orange-and-black skull emblem attached to the front left side.
