The Killer's Kabuto is a community-created headwear item for the Soldier, chosen by Valve to be released with the first wave of community-contributed content due to its outstanding quality. It appears as a team-colored Template:W helmet, with an elaborate gold ornament displaying the Soldier's class icon.

Notes
- Originally, the ornament would change color when this hat was painted. The October 6, 2010 Patch adjusted the paint to affect the team-colored section of the hat instead.
Trivia
- The word kabuto means helmet in Japanese. Around the western areas of Japan, kabuto specifically refers to samurai helmets.
- During the Momoyama period of civil war, these "kawari kabuto" (strange helmets) were mass-produced. They are made of 3 or 4 large plates of metal, as opposed to hundreds of tiny metal strips riveted together, as is the standard for 'traditional' kabuto.
