The Hardium Helm is a community-created cosmetic item for the Soldier.
It appears as a grey metal helmet with a black visor at its front that covers the Soldier's eyes. On the front the helmet is embossed with a thunderbolt emblem. It also features a wide team-colored metallic fin that reaches from the helmet's front to its back and two smaller fins to its left and right.
This item can only be worn around Halloween or during a Full Moon; at other times of the year, it does not appear in gameplay, unless the server has Halloween mode enabled. However, it can be equipped at any time and can still be viewed on the loadout screen even when it is not visible during games.
The Hardium Helm was contributed to the Steam Workshop under the name "Rocket_Ranger".
