The Stainless Pot is a headwear item for the Soldier. Released with the Classless Update, it appears as an ordinary stainless-steel saucepan, which the Soldier wears on his head as an improvised helmet.
Trivia
- This references a classic comedy gag where pots and pans are used as improvised armor.
- It's also a stealth pun on how soldiers used to cook food in their steel helmets before the switch to Kevlar helmets.
- In the Vietnam War, many American soldiers used their cooking pots for many purposes. The pots were used as water container, the water would be purified by a purifier pill and the water would be suitable for drinking. They were also used as a place to sit on, and obviously, as a cooking pot.
- The outer shell of the M1 helmet the Soldier usually wears is known as the "steel pot".
- Contrary to the hat's description, the Stainless Pot won't protect Soldier's head from any damage at all.
- The hat description was written by cypherx82. It was slightly edited by Valve.
- Even though the Stainless Pot is a fashionable piece of headgear for the Soldier, the hat is completly useless since it does not protect the Soldier head against any damage and the pot does not serve a cooking purpose since the Soldier only eats ribs.
