Dr's Dapper Topper is an unlockable headwear item for the Soldier. It is a tall, wide-brimmed top hat with alternating white and red stripes, much like the one the eponymous Cat in the Hat wears in the famous children's book by Template:W, the pen name of Theodor Seuss Geisel.
Every aspect of the hat is likely to be composed of references to Dr. Seuss; the weird, comedic style of the hat is likely areference to the wacky, uncontrollable personality of the Soldier (not unlike that of Dr. Seuss' writing,) and the hat's name suits Geisel's famous writing style, describing a person or entity in an anaphoric or sing-song manner.[citation needed]
Unlike most of the Soldier's hats, the Dr's Dapper Topper reveals the Soldier's eyes, normally obstructed by his oversize helmets.

Trivia
- The name is similar to the name chosen by Propaganda Contest winner J.Axer for his unique Towering Pillar of Hats, which has the name 'J.Axer's Dapper Topper'.[1]
- The mesh used for the hat (named the "Uncle Sammy") was originally created by Polycount forum member oobersli,[2] but was slightly modified and re-skinned completely in the process.
- In keeping with the Soldier's association with World War II, Theodor Seuss Geisel also illustrated hundreds of anti-Template:W political cartoons between 1941 and 1943. He started drawing political cartoons for newspapers.[3] In 1942 though, he joined the United States Air Forces' Animation Dept as a commander, writing several films relating to propaganda and Soldier training.
