The Sergeant's Drill Hat is a community-created cosmetic item for the Soldier. It is a paintable olive green campaign hat with a silver Team Fortress emblem embossed on the front above a black strap.

The item's description was written by peregrine7 for the Hat Describing Contest, and was slightly edited by Valve.

Trivia

  • The Sergeant's Drill Hat resembles the one worn by Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in the film Full Metal Jacket, which the description references. Gerre, the item's creator, has stated in an interview that he made the Sergeant's Drill Hat for the Soldier because of how well it fit his personality; both the Soldier and Gunnery Sergeant Hartman yell at and degrade the men under their command.
