The Sergeant's Drill Hat is a community-created headwear item for the Soldier. It is an olive green campaign hat with a silver Team Fortress emblem on the front above a black strap.
A robotized version of this hat, the Full Metal Drill Hat, was added in the Robotic Boogaloo update.

Notes
- The hat description was written by peregrine7 for the Hat Describing Contest. It was slightly edited by Valve.
- A team colored version of this hat was released by the creator for download, but the green variation was accepted by Valve through the Contribute page.[1]
Trivia
- The Sergeant's Drill Hat resembles the one worn by Sergeant Hartman in the film Full Metal Jacket, which the description references. Gerre has stated in an interview that he made the Sergeant's Drill Hat for the Soldier because of how well it fit his personality; both the Soldier and Sergeant Hartman yell at and degrade the men under their command.
