Trivia
- During the Momoyama period of civil war, these "kawari kabuto" (strange helmets) were mass-produced. They are made of 3 or 4 large plates of metal, as opposed to hundreds of tiny metal strips riveted together, as is the standard for 'traditional' kabuto.
- This hat was somewhat inspired by the Soldier's Sun Tzu fascination and the Soldier's warrior-like personality. It is thought that the Soldier's dense nature caused him to choose a Japanese helmet, even though Sun Tzu is infact Chinese.
- This is currently the only Soldier item to bear his badge.
- The Killer's Kabuto is the second community hat to appear in a Valve animated short.
